Weed Prevention
Weeds can easily grow in pathways and driveways after gravel is spread. This can look unsightly. Pulling the weeds out by hand causes soil to be mixed with the gravel, further allowing weeds to grow. Our recommended solution is the application of a geotextile membrane.
Geotextile membranes are synthetic, water and air permeable and are woven or spun. They last for an average of 15 years when covered with a material such as gravel. The membrane should be secured to the ground at regular intervals with wire pegs. Membranes provide excellent long-term weed control.
